This course will provide you with the specialist knowledge and skills required for progressing either to employment in an accounting or finance role or to enable progression to further study accountancy and finance. You will develop skills including an understanding of complex financial processes, such as final accounts, reports, and returns, spreadsheet use for accountants, VAT returns, and professional ethics. The course will help you identify and use relevant understanding, methods, and skills to complete tasks and address problems that are well-defined but also complex.

All applicants must have an interview and assessment to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
Four units are assessed individually in end-of-unit assessments. This qualification also includes a synoptic assessment that students sit towards the end of the qualification, which draws on and assesses knowledge and understanding from across the qualification.
If you will be aged 19 to 23 prior to the start date of your course, and do not already have a full Level 3 qualification, you may be eligible for a Level 3 entitlement, in which case your study with us will be free. If you are older, or already have a Level 3, we have many other Level 3 courses that are also free to study. Otherwise, you will have to pay the fees yourself or apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

This course will help you to move on to higher-level courses, or into employment in roles such as an accounts administrator/assistant, finance assistant, accounting technician, credit controller, bookkeeper, or payroll supervisor.
Mark Dunne joined CCCG in November 2019 where he was teaching all levels of AAT Accounting at CONEL and CANDI. He is now a permanent, valued member of staff at CANDI in Finsbury Park where he specialises in Financial & Management Accounting teaching. Mark's academic achievements include a Bachelor of Arts (HONS) in Business and Finance from the University of Wales, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Greenwich and a Master’s in Education from the University of Nottingham. He is a part-qualified Association of Chartered Certified Accountant and a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.
Mark has been teaching for more than 30 years but has also amassed a range of work experience in the financial services and accounting sectors. This included six years working for a high street bank, two years working as a Mortgage Consultant and six years as Finance Director of his own business- Kantep Limited. This was an animation business working with higher education professionals to produce animations of scientific work which was multi-national with mainly European customers and technical employees who were based in the Far East.
Mark has travelled the world and has worked in a top university in Thailand for six years as a tutor of improving skills for graduates to attain top-level positions in multi-national companies, he has worked in New York for a charity for a year and has also worked for one of the top global law firms in Paris for a year.
