This qualification enables you to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to progress to further learning or training qualifications in Engineering at a higher level. They also provide you with the opportunity to develop wider personal and employability skills with optional units in personal, learning and thinking skills and employability.

All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
You will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence, collected from written assessments, presentations, witness statements and practical observation.
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31st August prior to the start date of your course and you have the legal right to remain in the UK for the duration of your programme then your study with us will be free. Please see here for the documents you will need to show us.

Once you succesfully complete your course, you will receive a Gateway Level 1 Diploma in Engineering and progress to Level 2 Diploma in Engineering.to further improve your knowledge and skills.
Muhammad Ahmad is an Engineering Lecturer with 15+ years of experience, qualified to teach, assess and conduct internal quality assurance work in the further, adult, and vocational education sector across various Awarding Organisations. Muhammad is skilled in carrying out Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) work for a range of engineering qualifications according to the national standards of education in England and has an M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering (Thermal Power).
Muhammad works as a Lead Internal Verifier (LIV) for Engineering courses at CONEL’s Tottenham Centre and has participated extensively in improving the curriculum design to meet the needs of learners with ever-growing industrial needs. Whilst working at CONEL, Muhammad has developed entire courses such as the Performing Engineering Operation (PEO) diploma and Access to Higher Education (HE) Diploma in Engineering.
Muhammad is dedicated to teaching content primarily based on physics, mathematics, and engineering principles and is experienced in teaching, assessing, and leading Computer-Aided Design (CAD) as an area of interest. He also works as an Expert Practitioner sharing skills for learning and assessments, and internal verification experience with fellow colleagues across the group to develop those who are newly qualified teachers and those who want to improve their existing teaching practice.
He is passionate about learning and developing his own personal and technical skills and helping students to be successful in their futures.
