ABOUT THE COURSE

The Entry Level Certificate in an Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector  (ESOL) is a course that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills through introducing you to the hair and beauty industries.  We will teach you to you present a professional image in the salon, whilst giving you the opportunity to develop your English by combining your vocational qualification with an ESOL Entry Level 3 English qualification.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

Topics covered include:

·       Introduction to the hair and beauty sector

·       Presenting a professional image in a salon

·       Shampoo and conditioning

·       Hair plaiting

·       Skin Care

·       Hand care

·       Hair styling

WHAT WILL I NEED?

English at Entry Level 2

All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

You will be assessed on the practical work that you do in the hair salon, as well as assignments and oral questioning.

 

WHAT WILL IT COST?

Adults - Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2


If you will be aged 19+ on 31st August prior to the start date of your course, up to Level 2, then your study with us will be free. You must have lived for 3 years within the EU/EEA/UK prior to the start of your course, you must have lived in the UK before 1st January 2021 and you must have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months from the first day of learning. On successful completion of the course, you can develop your skills further through the Level 1 Certificate in an Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector

Maria is a dedicated educator, shaping the next generation of Hair Stylists and Beauty Professionals. Her teaching philosophy revolves around fostering creativity, technical skill development, and a deep understanding of the evolving trends in the industry. Maria takes pride in seeing students flourish and embark on successful careers. In addition to teaching experience, she has spent the last 16 years managing the curriculum in this area. Maria's managerial role has provided her with invaluable insights into the operational and business aspects of the industry in education.

This hands-on experience has honed Maria's leadership skills and strategic thinking, enabling her to navigate the dynamic landscape of the Hair and Beauty business successfully. She has created stunning hairstyles to master the art of Barbering, delivering beauty treatments, and coaching others to reach their full potential, her expertise spans the entire spectrum of the Hair and Beauty profession.
