ABOUT THE COURSE

The purpose of this Entry to Vocational Study programme is to support learners’ skill development in preparation for higher-level learning, therefore increasing opportunities for learners to progress.

These qualifications are ideal for learners progressing to Level 1 Introductory qualifications – links to units in the suite are signposted throughout.

The qualifications are not designed to lead directly to employment but will provide for the development of transferable skills, which are valued by employers.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

  • Writing, speaking and listening to others
  • Using body language to help communication
  • Using communication for different purposes
  • Working with others

WHAT WILL I NEED?

Current EHCP. Entry level 2 qualification or Initial Assessment results at Entry Level 2.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

You will be assessed through a variety of methods based on course requirements and individual needs.

For example:

  • Observations
  • Portfolios/Workbooks
  • Practical activities
  • Questioning
  • Peer feedback

Throughout the course, you will be gathering evidence/information in each unit. There are different methods that evidence can be gathered to meet individual needs.
