Reading and Writing in French - Level 2 Award

Develop your French language skills with our Level 2 Award in Reading and Writing in French.

Building on your prior knowledge, this course strengthens all four language skills—reading, writing, speaking, and listening—while expanding your grammar and vocabulary.

This course is ideal for those with a Level 1 qualification or equivalent experience.

You will gain a deeper understanding of the French language and culture and explore topics such as: 

• Identity and culture
• Local travel
• Future aspirations

You will also take part in engaging modules covering practical scenarios such as:

• Describing your local area
• Navigating travel
• Discussing career ambitions

Please be prepared to provide your residency documents such as a passport, EU citizen ID card, UK Birth Certificate or Biometric Card.

If you have been in the UK for less than 1 year or have entered the UK with a visa you will need to provide evidence that you are eligible to study in the UK - your visa, your biometric card that covers the duration of your course or any relevant home office documents to support your residency should all be provided. 

If you’re an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen we will need to see evidence of 'Pre-Settled' or 'Settled-status' documents. 

Also, for funding purposes, we would need to see evidence of payslips if working (within the last 3 months). If you are receiving benefits (e.g. JSA, ESA, Universal Credit (UC), Housing benefits etc. please provide evidence of this).

Completing the course will earn you a qualification assessed through reading, writing, and written response, preparing you to confidently navigate French-speaking environments.
