Studying at college is very different from staying at school or going to a sixth form – you are treated as an adult and supported to manage your studies, so you’re ready for university or work. At our colleges, you won’t have assemblies or have to wear a uniform, and you’ll be studying with people of all ages from across London.

A Level courses are a popular route into university, offering a wide range of subjects including some that you may not have studied at school. They are mainly assessed by examinations at the end of a two-year period, although some subjects may have a coursework component as well.
At Capital City College Group, we have the largest selection of A Levels in London, delivered at our Sixth Form College in Angel, London (CANDI), and our King’s Cross Centre (WestKing). Many of our A Level students go on to university, including Russell Group universities.
Each A Level study programme is built around your career prospects to ensure you leave CANDI with a well-rounded portfolio.

T Levels are a 2-year course that offers a combination of classroom and workplace learning, designed with employers, to give you the skills that industries need. They are ideal for you if you want to get hands-on experience and learn skills that will get you a job in a technical profession, for example, Healthcare, Science, Childcare, Engineering, Accountancy, or Media.
To succeed in your T Level course, you must show technical knowledge, specific learned abilities, concepts, and skills for the industry area, and a basic working knowledge of the occupations and career paths in your chosen field.
Every T Level includes an on-the-job industry placement with an employer, with 315 hours (approximately 45 days) of content and training within your chosen sector, either as a day release or a block of days together. Workplace learning focuses on developing the practical and technical skills you need.
Studying a Vocational Technical course (also known as a BTEC) offers a hands-on, applied learning approach that prepares you with practical skills and real-world expertise highly sought after by employers in diverse fields. Technical qualifications allow you to progress into a career or onto further study.
Each Vocational study programme is built around your career prospects to ensure you leave our colleges with a well-rounded portfolio.

If you don’t already have GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths, you will also study these as part of your study programme.
Our students choose to study Technical courses because they specialise in areas of learning linked with work that they are interested in. You can build your confidence because you are developing practical skills that could help you secure a job in the future. Answers to assignments may be in written form but it is just as likely they will be in other forms too, such as film clips, project proposals, business plans and structured databases.
We offer one of the largest ranges of Apprenticeship training across London. Apprenticeships allow individuals to earn while they learn, get new skills and knowledge whilst working, and progress within an organisation or career path.
You will gain valuable real-life workplace experience, plus additional training in soft skills relevant to your job and more industry-specific skills through our short courses.
At the end of the Apprenticeship, you will receive a certificate of completion. The Apprenticeship will give you the industry skills you need to progress in your chosen career; this could be through progression within the organisation where you have done the Apprenticeship, or you can apply for roles in your chosen field.
To apply for an Apprenticeship, you will need to apply for a job at a company that is offering an Apprenticeship Scheme through places such as the Job Centre, Total Jobs, Indeed, and LinkedIn or check out our current vacancies here. From there you can discuss with your employer about carrying out your off-the-job training at one of our participating colleges.
Our Learner Experience team are here to support, encourage and help you thrive while studying with us. They provide quality advice and guidance and can also offer learning support to help you if you need extra help with English or Maths if you are dyslexic or have a disability or a learning difficulty.
Our qualified and experienced team have been awarded the Matrix quality standard for information advice and guidance services; a national quality standard for the effective delivery of information, advice and guidance on learning and work.
As part of our support services, we:
