Progression to Higher Levels of Study: Many students choose to continue their education by enrolling in higher-level Media courses, such as UAL Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications here at WKC.
Specialised Training or Apprenticeships: Some individuals may opt for specialised training programs or apprenticeships in specific areas of Media, such as ceramics, jewelry making, furniture design, or digital media production.
Toby has been a Lecturer in Information Technology, Digital Media, and Creative Media at Westminster Kingsway College since October 2016. He is highly skilled and holds a BSc (Hons) in Computing at South Bank University and a PGCE (FE) at Greenwich University.
Before this, he served as an IT Lecturer at institutions like the Fashion Retail Academy and Samsung Digital Academy at Newham College, where he started teaching in 2007. He has taught various subjects, including programming, web design, multimedia, and digital marketing.
Toby has a wide range of experience working with learners of all abilities including working with those who have no previous qualification to working with those studying higher education.
Beyond his teaching endeavours, Toby has worked as an IT systems manager and developer, known for his expertise in web-based educational services. He has also been involved in consultancy, web development, hosting, and IT maintenance.
Michael has been teaching since 2013 across secondary and college levels and is experienced in teaching from key stage 4 up to post-FE. His specialism is Film Production delivering techniques and skills he has gained from filmmaking and sound design.
Michale’s experiences include being a Camera Operator for an independent film for a FILM4 picture, Director of two award-winning short films on AMAZON PRIME video and Pinewood Studios film festival, recording, producing and music event management, and documentary filming.
Using this industry experience, Michael delivers practical and employment skills relevant to the creative industries and challenges students to achieve their potential whilst offering guidance for their future endeavours.
